Ryan Heilman successfully overturned a circuit court decision in the Michigan Court of Appeals representing three molders for the automotive industry. Based on Ryan’s arguments, the Michigan Court of Appeals held in favor of the molders, holding that tooling liens take precedence over a bank’s security interests. The Michigan Court of Appeals remanded the case to the circuit court for determination of damages owed to the clients, and published its opinion, Delta Engineered Plastics, LLC v. Autolign Mfg. Group, Inc., 2009 Mich. App. LEXIS 2256 (Mich. Ct. App. Oct. 27, 2009).
