As a young associate, Tracey Porter already has impressive and diverse legal experience. During her undergraduate education at Bowling Green State University, Porter was accepted into the Washington Center for Academic Internship program where she interned for a criminal defense attorney in Washington, D.C. During her law school career, Porter interned for Justice Robert P. Young of the Michigan Supreme Court; worked at the Free Legal Aid Clinic where she represented indigent clients in family law matters; and clerked at Sommers Schwartz, P.C. where she focused on employment and commercial litigation as well as medical malpractice matters.
Porter graduated cum laude from Wayne State University Law School in 2006 where she was a Bronze Key recipient and a Barrister Scholar. While at Wayne State, Porter was a senior articles editor for The Wayne Law Review.
Since joining Schafer and Weiner, Porter has been invaluable to the Schafer and Weiner litigation team. Porter has drafted and successfully argued numerous motions, conducted depositions, and has been instrumental in the successful resolution of both large and small commercial litigation matters.
