Michael E. Baum and Jason L. Weiner To Attend INSOL International Conference in Singapore
From April 2-4, Michael E. Baum, the Managing Member of Schafer and Weiner, and Jason L. Weiner will attend the INSOL International (the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency, and Bankruptcy Professionals) Conference in Singapore. At the conference, Jason will be recognized with his colleagues from around the world as a Fellow of INSOL International for successfully completing INSOL’s post-graduate certificate program, the Global Insolvency Practice Course (GIPC). During the GIPC, Jason learned about insolvency systems around the globe, and gained the tools necessary to help clients navigate the complexities of cross-border insolvencies – including the use of Chapter 15 of the Bankruptcy Code to preserve and protect assets. The INSOL Fellows Graduation Ceremony will take place on Wednesday morning, April 3rd.
The theme for the Singapore conference is “Looking to the future: what to expect and how to prepare.” The conference programs will focus on addressing the challenges that will arise as global trade and technology surpass current law. At the conference, Michael, with an expertise in the Bankruptcy Code, and Jason, with an expertise in cross-border insolvency, will have the opportunity to learn from and network with leading practitioners in the insolvency and restructuring industry.
