Real Property Transaction Litigation Dismissed on Summary Disposition
The Schafer and Weiner team of John Stockdale, Jr., Joseph K. Grekin, and Brandi M. Blasses represented a real estate purchaser in a lawsuit brought by the real estate seller for breach of contract that allegedly permitted the seller to remain in the property on a non-exclusive basis for six months. On its pre-discovery first motion for summary disposition, Schafer and Weiner obtained dismissal of seven of the eight counts against their client. On its post-discovery second motion for summary disposition, Schafer and Weiner obtained dismissal of the last remaining count, thereby denying the real estate seller any recovery on its six digit claim.
