Schafer and Weiner Resolves Real Estate Dispute Through Mediation

Joesph K. Grekin and John Stockdale, Jr. assisted a residential real estate developer with clearing a cloud on title to unimproved land intended as a future subdivision. The cloud on title arose from a dispute between the developer and an investor. The cloud on title impaired the developer’s ability to obtain financing to improve the land. Through pre-litigation mediation, the parties reached a resolution that removed the cloud on title, paving the way for financing to improve the residential development and begin construction.
