Schafer and Weiner Discovery Order Published

John Stockdale, Jr. represented DPT Holdings, LLC in collection action against VLF Automotive, LLC and its affiliates and owner (the “Defendants”). During this litigation, the Defendants refused to provide discovery, which necessitated three motions to compel discovery. As a result of the second motion and at DPT Holdings, LLC’s request, the Court struck the Defendants’ affirmative defenses as a sanction for failing to respond to discovery. The order memorializing that decision was recently reported at 2019 Mich. Cir. LEXIS 824.
